Silent Night Isn’t a Lullaby
On a dark night
Shepherds quake
At the sight
Of the newborn King,
Jesus Christ,
The Lamb of God,
Love’s pure light.
The Savior’s face,
Is gloriously bright
And full of grace!
Their hearts take flight
And soar like a kite.
The shepherds,
Like the angels did,
Break the silence
Of the night
As they leave the site
With great delight
To run and tell
And shout from the housetops
What they have seen and heard.
The song Silent Night
Isn’t a lullaby.
It’s a wakeup call!
