Jeld and the Beanstalk
I'm happy to announce that I'm working on a collaborative project with the brilliant author Eric Kao.
It's a fairy tale retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk with the comedic setup of The Emperor's New Groove.
Oh, and it's gay.
A young, pampered lord is ruling over his kingdom beneath the Beanstalk when acid rain begins to fall from above. Jeld, the great-great-great-grandson of Jack, is tasked with climbing the stalk with the help of another man, an ordinary villager named Delnic. Well, not so ordinary; he's strong, handsome, and brooding.
Jeld and Delnic, with conflicting worldviews, are tasked to climb and discover this odd disturbance and what will genuinely help the people below.
