Apples of Gold

Proverbs 25:11

A word fitly H655 spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.

אֹפֶן ʼôphen, o’-fen; from an unused root meaning to revolve; a turn, i.e. a season:— fitly.

The vivid imagery of this verse has been dancing in my thoughts the last few months, so much so that I was on the lookout for some artificial apples to spray paint gold and something silver to place them in.

I found both and took these photos.

I hope they encourage your heart as you wait on Him for wisdom and timing in your counsel to others.

Last year, dear ladies and writerly friends reached out and asked if I would like to be a regular writer on Across The Table.

While my heart thrilled, I knew I needed to pray and see if it was my Father’s will or not. And I knew when the answer came, it was, “Yes, for a year.”

Not an audible voice mind you, but an impression. The thumbprint I have learned to recognize as His. As we celebrate our one year anniversary at Across the Table, it is time for me to slide down the bench.

Why?

Some of the why I know. It’s time to start writing my fictional sequel to The Quickening. My friends who witnessed me writing the first novel can attest to the deep diving into historical details which compose a lot of my work. I knew I wasn’t supposed to start working on it until after my son’s wedding, which was in September… because the sequel has to do with the covenant of marriage and two of my main characters wedding.

Now, the story is starting to come together in my thoughts, and it is time to begin.

I would truly appreciate your prayers as I endeavor to dive deep into local history and His word, and back in to the fictional world of Shane, Audrey and the others.

It has been my heartfelt pleasure serving at Across the Table.

For everyone else, I appreciate your prayers as I begin to wade in to the sequel of The Quickening.
