My Favorite Day of the Year

This is totally my kitten. I know she loves me, but she likes to lay right under my chin and watch me type. Which means….yes, her butt is always in my face.

Today is my favorite day, for two reasons.

One, I’m on the cusp of summer vacation. It’s nearly here, the hard work is done, just a little celebration with my school family and then it’s here. The whole summer stretched out before me…no time wasted yet, all the possibilities ahead. Projects, books to read and write, places to go….

 

AND I’m starting a new book today, one I’ve had in my head since last summer. I’m still revising my cowboy book–chapter four–but I’m going to write something new at the same time. Very excited.
