BBC story on indie bookstores (featuring Myra McEntire & me!)

Here’s a great video from BBC shot in Nashville’s Parnassus Books, discussing how important small bookstores are to their communities.

Around the 2 minute mark, I explain what my revenants are and then Myra McEntire speaks eloquently about the why indie bookstores are important to authors. (This is with the event we did back in May.)

Tell me – what do you think about bookstores vs. buying online?

Amy Plum Love this comment Tiffany. And I totally agree! :)
Tiffany wrote: "Bookstore's are better, but you can explore your options, see what you want next time. Online buying, well you really can't trust it. You dont know where your money's going or if your actually goin..."

Tiffany Bookstores, definitely! For some reason, a solid, physical book is much more appealing to me rather than an electronic one. I would probably save a lot of money if I decided to buy a Kindle, (I buy A LOT of books) =)) but I support the real book through and through.
Tiffany (the other one, lol) is also correct, that you can explore your options there. I like browsing through a random book before buying it, and I also like asking the bookstore staff for their individual opinions.

This is why until now, I don't have an e-reader of any sort and I don't plan on having one anytime soon except if physical books are all destroyed or something. Call me old fashioned, but going paperless isn't my thing.

(Plus, e-readers can harm one's eyes, right? The light is directed to your eyes unlike real books, where the overhead light shines on the book)

Chinelo i rather read a physical book than an ebook, cos i am sure that virus cant get in and i can doodle on it.:)..plus there just this satisfaction you get when you read a physical book..
