The brewery, which also includes the Bud, Stella Artois and Hoegaarden brands, sold more than 148 million hectoliters of beer and other beverages in July, August and September. This is 2.4% less compared to the same period last year. Volumes fell particularly sharply in the Asia-Pacific region, by more than a tenth. More beer was sold in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
But because the selling price per hectoliter was higher, total turnover was still 2.1 percent higher than last year, just over $15 billion (approximately €13.8 billion). Operating profit rose 7.1 percent to $5.4 billion.
