many absent in Milan. Fonseca will “add” others, but by choice

The postponement of Bologna-Milan was, according to the Rossoneri club, a serious mistake that has punished and will punish Fonseca’s team throughout this championship. One can’t help but agree: as of today, Milan are -8 behind leaders Napoli with the head-to-head clash to be played tonight at the San Siro with the fear of an already side distance.

Fonseca’s words
Paulo Fonseca also confirmed these difficulties at the press conference: “We wanted to play also because now we have two important players suspended. The team is training well, I have faith in all the players. We are fighting for the Scudetto. The fans have to believe in it because we are strong and we can fight for the championship.” Clear words, clear goals, but there are facts to be done: if Milan want to fight for the Scudetto, they have to beat Napoli tonight.

Milan’s probable line-up
Fonseca will be without the suspended Theo Hernandez and Tijani Reynders: in their place will be Terraciano and Loftus-Cheek respectively. Tomori can be benched: Pavlovic and Tiau will act in defence; Gabby is injured. Fofana is untouchable in midfield, just as Pulisic is untouchable in midfield; the American will play in the center, behind Morata: Chukwueze on the right, Okafor on the left, preferred – for the second time in a row – to Rafael Leao.
