PL need to win 5 out of 9 matches in Round 2 to dominate the capitals

The PL will become the party to rule the most capital cities in the country if they win at least five of the nine second-round contests in those cities on Sunday (27/10). Jair Bolsonaro’s party is already the leader in the number of federal deputies, which guarantees him a record party fund.

In the first round, the parties with the most capital gains were: PSD with three; and PL, MDB and União Brasil, with two each. In the second round, PL is the acronym that will be capitalized the most: nine, compared to two for PSD. União Brasil will compete in four capitals.

PL will compete in Palmas, Manaus, João Pessoa, Fortaleza, Goiânia, Cuiaba, Belo Horizonte, Belén, Pará and Aracaju. If it wins in five of these cities, PL will take command of seven capitals and therefore no longer be reachable by another country.

The PT, Lula’s party, did not win a single capital in the first round. They will try to win in four capitals in the second round: Porto Alegre, Natal, Cuiaba and Fortaleza, the latter two against PL.
