No Darkness at All

There are many favorite verses of mine in the Scriptures. Here are a few of them:

“This is themessage which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light andin Him is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5).

“But if we walk inthe light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and theblood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7).

“The god of thisage has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light ofthe gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do notpreach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants forJesus’ sake. For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ made hislight shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory ofGod in the face of Christ” (2 Corinthians 4:4-6).

“In the sight ofGod, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifyingbefore Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you to keep thiscommand without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own time—God, the blessed and only Ruler, theKing of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives inunapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor andmight forever. Amen” (1 Timothy 6:13-16).

“Now to the Kingeternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever andever. Amen” (1 Timothy 1:17).

“When Jesus spokeagain to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows mewill never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life’” (John 8:12).

This is our proclamation: God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all.
