What’s a friend? Back in the day, when Facebook was new, I followed the crowd and created a Profile. Then, the idea was to accept as many “friends” as possible, up to the Facebook imposed limit of 5,000.

Everyone went around “friending” each other.

Then, Facebook came up with the Page concept. It had to be connected to a personal profile, but it was a place where you could have unlimited “followers.”
