Honor announces launch dates for Magic7 series, MagicOS 9.0

Honor has just scheduled several major events in China to take place in the coming weeks. On October 23, the company will introduce MagicOS 9.0 – its version of Android 15. The interface will first appear on the Honor Magic7 flagships, which should debut exactly one week later, on October 30.

Honor Announces Magic7 Series Launch Date, MagicOS 9.0 Also Coming

The new MagicOS 9.0 will have a new set of AI features, including AI Agent, an always-on personal assistant aimed at competing with Apple Intelligence and Google Gemini. The service was first showcased at IFA 2024, and we also saw a video of it on the Honor Magic7 phone, revealing an oval-shaped hole punch for the selfie camera.

The new Magic7 phones are expected to have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see Honor use the Dimensity 9400 platform for the vanilla phone. There are more than two weeks until the series arrives, where we expect to know more about the specifications and features.
