Every Diary of a Wimpy Kid Book Ranked and Reviewed in 10 Words or Less!

The next entry in Jeff Kinney's middle school series, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, is about to come out, so I want to celebrate by ranking every book and reviewing them in ten words or less! Be wary of spoilers!

18: Double Down: THIS is why we need plots to start earlier!

17: The Long Haul: The second worst...yet still much better than the movie.

16: No Brainer: Just when I thought book fourteen's ending was the worst...

15: The Third Wheel: Did anyone really think Greg would get a girlfriend? ;)

14: Wrecking Ball: Fantastic...until the ending came in like a WRECKING BALL!

13: Hard Luck: The cover says 8, but I think it's a 7.

12: Diper Överlöde: Great, but what'd we do to get that title?

11: Dog Days: Not bad...but the movie was better!

10: The Ugly Truth: Greg is growing up...even though he never ages.

8 (Tie): Old School: PLEASE do more summer camp style stories, Kinney!

8 (Tie): Big Shot: Main story focused, with little random hijinks. Nice change!

7: Cabin Fever: Former best Christmas/winter story, but since outclassed...no disrespect.

6: Diary of a Wimpy Kid: A story of a jerk in a crapsack world. Classic!

5: The Last Straw: The last good Wimpy Kid book? No, not really.

4: The Deep End: THE RESIDENT HOT TAKE...I love this one!

3: The Getaway: Best summer story, best vacation story. A great comeback!

1 (Tie): Rodrick Rules: Yes, Rodrick does rule...except in books 3-16.

1 (Tie): The Meltdown: A prime reason we need more neighborhood kids' war stories.
