Boy calls 110 to ask for help with a video game

A five-year-old boy from Upper Franconia called the police because he was stuck playing a video game. To do this, he secretly used his parents’ mobile phone, police said.

The emergency call was received at the operations center on Monday afternoon. According to police, the boy only said on the phone that he needed help and gave his name, age and place of residence. From the telephone number, the police were able to determine his address in Rödental (Coburg district).

When the agents arrived at the boy’s house, it turned out that he was waiting for help with a video game. In kindergarten he learned that in emergency situations you can call the police and so he secretly dialed 110. “Shocked parents were sensitized. The current score is unknown,” the police said.
