Healing but still recovering.
I just thought I would update my blog as it is the first chance I am able to get online and get WIFI.
I firstly was diagnosed with sepsis, then it was septic arthritis and now it is an infected ankle. I just want to point out the NHS have been fantastic in helping me, so I want to thank them and all the staff you are worth your weight in gold. After 4 weeks of various antibiotics, pain killers and other medication my ankle has reduced in swelling size.
After 4 weeks I am still in pain and I cannot put much pressure on it, the ankle is still not 100% but I have the support boot on and I have to keep it elevated. I am much happier and positive now that I will heal with a bit more time.
I am unfortunately unable to draw or carry on with what I love to do as my leg needs to stay high and elevated. I can’t use my drawing tablet and it’s uncomfortable trying to draw, believe me I have tried. I really want to carry on as normal but I’ve been advised to focus on my ankle healing.
Being the positive person I am, I will return hopefully in the next couple of weeks by doing what I enjoy doing. I am excited to continue and I am looking forward in colouring in Mr Thinkalot book 3 cover.
The free pen offer is still available with purchase and review of my books, check out the blog or immayes.com for more information.
Once I am healed my focus will be on sending letters and pens to reviewers, I will then add 1 more picture to my website for a short period of time. The reason I will add less new drawings is that I want to and have to put more energy and time into my third book from now and over the Christmas period so it can start the publication process. I will also want to start writing my next story and start the drawings for that book also.
I will add new drawings to the website, but they may not start to appear till the new year as I will be extremely busy. But I will continue to draw new pictures it’s just that the books are now my focus and priority.
My health lately has made me consider what’s really important to me, we sometimes take our normal life for granted and it’s not until something major happens to our health that we evaluate what is the most important to us and the direction we should be going. I love to write and draw, my books are very important so finishing the Mr Thinkalot series is something I really need and want to do.
I hope everyone is well and that you all have a nice Sunday and the week after. If you have read this post thank you for taking the time to read it.
I also would like to create a new competition soon, this will have to be when I am better so check back on my profile in the next couple of weeks or immayes.com. I would like to send out a free copy of my book to the successful winner, I don’t often get copies of my books so this rare for me to do.
Take care.
