Hey Spirit Remotely Meta Event Scam
If you’ve gotten an e-mail from Theresa Caputo’s management team about a Hey Spirit Remotely Meta Event, unfortunately, it’s a scam. The e-mail comes from info@heyspiritpodcasting.com, as they’ve created an entire fake website mirroring Theresa Caputo’s real website. You can find her real website at https://theresacaputo.com.
They’ve really taken the podcast scam up a notch with the fake website! This is because people are catching on to their usual G-mail accounts and can spot the scam because it doesn’t come from the podcast’s real website.
So now, they create a similar sounding website (like heyspiritpodcasting), steal all the photos and info, and make their own fake website to look legit.
The Hey Spirit Remotely Meta Event Scam E-mailHere’s a copy of the e-mail they send:
Greetings Candy Keane,
Stephen Collins here, and I am part of Theresa Caputo’s management team.
I’m reaching out to invite you to be a special guest on Hey Spirit Remotely Meta Event!, our show offering unique insights and healing for listeners all around the world.
As you may know, Hey Spirit! is available on all major platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Apple Broadcast and Spotify, and has built a dedicated audience globally. With over 20 years of experience as a practicing medium and a fanbase in the millions, I’ve been fortunate enough to connect with people both through my previous TV show Long Island Medium and now through this Event.
This is a wonderful opportunity to share your experiences, insights, and connect with a worldwide audience who are eager to hear from inspiring voices like yours.
If you’re interested, we’d be happy to discuss further details and find a time that works for you. We hope to have you with us soon!
On first glance, their heyspiritpodcasting website looks pretty convincing! It is very similar to Theresa Caputo’s real website, and all the links go to the right places.
So, I plugged the website domain into the scam checker at Scam Void to look for the main telltale details of a fake website– it’s creation date and traffic.
The site was created 9 days ago and has very little traffic. Warning bells! It’s another podcast scam!
I’m a bit disappointed they haven’t offered me a few thousand dollars yet for my time. That’s usually another notable part of this scam.
Theresa Caputo and the Hey Spirit! PodcastThe Hey Spirit! podcast is real, but this offer is not. What they will do is schedule a Zoom call to help you get set-up for the podcast. During this call they’ll be extra helpful and ask to screenshare. This is when they will steal your Facebook page. So don’t fall for it!
Theresa Caputo is an American television personality and self-proclaimed psychic medium best known for her long-running TLC show, Long Island Medium.
On the show, which aired from 2011 to 2019, Caputo shared her ability to communicate with the deceased, offering readings to individuals seeking closure or connection with loved ones who have passed away. Her charismatic personality and emotional readings made her a household name, particularly among those interested in the supernatural or spiritual realms.
The Hey Spirit! podcast is an extension of Theresa Caputo’s work as a medium, where she continues to provide readings for people and connect them with their deceased loved ones.
On the podcast, Caputo speaks with everyday individuals as well as special guests, delivering messages from the other side. The podcast offers a more intimate, audio-only experience, allowing listeners to hear the often emotional and profound impact of her readings. It gives fans of her TV show another platform to connect with her and her work.
