Three women, aged 28, 34 and 39, died after the car they were traveling in fell off a bridge and sank into a tributary of the Rio São João, in Prudentópolis, in the central region of Paraná.

According to the fire department, the driver and a passenger were able to exit the vehicle by their own means and survived.

The accident occurred on Monday (1) night, around 10:40 pm, in the area known as “Linha Guaraboava”.

The company explained that the bodies of two women were removed from the car by members of the public.

Firefighters then searched the submerged car and found the third victim dead in the back seat.

The firefighters added, “According to the information available to citizens, the driver of the car and one of its passengers left the place and requested assistance by their own means.”

G1 asked the civil police about the identity of the victims and whether the investigation team had already determined the causes of the accident and was awaiting a response.
