Writing Update: Vol. VII Draft 0.6
…And I’m back! This will be short, so let’s dive right in.
Volume VII is shaping up to be another lengthy tome. Thus far, I’m 60% done with draft 1, and it’s reached 174,900 words. This covers the main character and two groups of two side characters. I still have a lot more to write, two more main characters, and four or so side characters. That said, it won’t be finished any time soon, especially since I’ll be shifting focus now.
Upcoming releases are making me shift gears. Later this year, Red Creek should be hitting the shelves. And the following year, the sequel to it, Bloodbane, will follow it up. I’m currently in draft three of Bloodbane. The next release, the third installment of the Maro Prakk novella series, is expected in 2026, as is the long-awaited sequel to The Demon’s Fate: Decimation Protocol, which I need to start on the third draft, and it’s by far the easiest of all of them.
Twenty-twenty-seven’s shaping up to be a monster year with Volume IV set to release, and I’d like to get books 4–7 complete before the big debut, that way I can have a solid path of where I’m going, and fixing any rough issues between the books. In the meantime, the RoyalRoad releases are moving along as planned. I hope, with time, I can get more eyes on the project and create a buzz via word of mouth and on the Rising Stars list. Only time will tell.
