Since Wes first appeared in my Lock & Key book 1 landscape, I knew I would write about him one day. Wes came out to play in Butler and Tania's "Blood & Rust" forming a deep bond with Butler, and that's where I met Lindy...and I couldn't let her go. Her strong voice, her tough personality, her bold spirit, and her pure heart remained unforgettable to me. I always knew she and Wes were made for each other.

I dabbled with Wes and Lindy's enemies to lovers/second chance romance vibe in a short story several years ago and used that as inspiration here, but I changed the essentials. I love love love these two and their growth and journey towards wholeness and happiness filled with loads of heartache, angst, and steam...throw in gritty biker suspense, and yes please!

Writing this story was a true treat, because...MEAGER! And it gave me the opportunity to explore the bits and fragments still left over from book 1 and beyond. Fragments I'd created in the prior books, yet only now did these particular elements come together for me. When I started writing this book, I was fully ready and passionate to explore all the explosive possibilities.

As I wrote Wes's story and brainstormed plot ideas, wherefores and whys, once I dug a little deeper, I realized that everything I needed was already there which gave me the fuel to find the unexpected surprises that connect these flickering sticks of dynamite. I'm thrilled with how it all played out.

With this book, I feel that now the Lock & Key MC Romance series is truly a complete, epic read with all its family saga arcs and its core themes of love and loss, of family, and finding where you truly belong. This is so very satisfying to me as a storyteller and a deep fan of each of these beloved characters. (Even the villainous ones!)
