Tauron Dystrybucja and Polska Spółka Gazownictwa, responsible for electricity and gas distribution in flood-affected areas, did not specify the specific damage they suffered due to the destruction of infrastructure. For now, they are focusing on restoring supplies to customers.

In the current stage of balancing these losses, there are more than 500 damaged stations and more than 223 medium, low and high voltage lines. Two power plants, in Brodnik (Opole branch of Toruń Distribokja) and Brzec (Walbrzych branch), were flooded and completely shut down for several days. We are currently working to replace these components and return them to working order. Our priority currently remains providing energy to all customers – says DGP Tauron Dystrybucja in response to questions. The following elements were also damaged: field unit buildings and auxiliary buildings.
