A 42-year-old man was killed during a private hunting trip in Bussy Albio in the Loire region on Saturday afternoon. The shooter has not been identified. The Gendarmerie opened an investigation.

A private fishing trip turned into a tragedy on Saturday afternoon in the Loire region of Bussy Albio. During a wild boar hunt, a 42-year-old man was killed. Several fatal shots cost this man his life and caused the death of two wild boars.

The victim was a farmer from a nearby town, the regional daily reported progress. He died from a bullet to the head.

Gendarmerie forces went to the site to conduct preliminary findings. The French Biodiversity Office accompanied her to provide technical and administrative assistance. Until late Saturday afternoon, police called in a helicopter to photograph the scene of the tragedy from the air. They asked all participants in the chase to stand still.

Interviews must be conducted during the day by investigators in order to identify the perpetrator of the shooting. The Saint-Etienne Public Prosecutor’s Office opened an investigation into unintentional injuries.

A week ago, a hunting accident claimed the life of a 56-year-old man who was shot in the chest at Crestet in Ardèche.
