H.G. Wells, who wrote the sci-fi novel The War of the Worlds, once worked as a math teacher at Henley House School in London, England. One of his brightest students was A.A. Milne, the future author of Winnie the Pooh. (from Ripley’s Believe It Or Not: Out of the Box)
