Do you remember pen pals? Looking back, it seems funny and antiquated to have had a friend far away that I could only reach with an envelope and a stamp. I remember listening for the mailman with bated breath and checking the stack of grownup mail, very occasionally pulling out a pink or blue evelope with another child’s handwriting, addressed just to me.
