Cubs’ Imanaga, two relievers, no-hit Pirates at Wrigley

The Chicago Cubs’ Shota Imanaga and two relievers combined to no-hit the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday night, marking the Cubs’ first no-no at Wrigley Field since 1972.

Imanaga tossed 7 innings of no-hit ball, and Nate Pearson and Porter Hodge contributed an inning each to the gem, which ended in a score of 12-0. The combined effort was the first Cubs’ Wrigley no-hitter since Milt Pappas blanked the San Diego Padres in 1972.
