Using To-Do Lists

As regular readers of this blog know, I decided to self-publish my recent novel, Exit Velocity, through BookBaby. I signed a contract on or about September 1, 2023, and from that day until June 4, 2024 (publication day), I worked on the book six or seven days a week.

First came cover design and formatting. Then proofreading. Then proofreading again for the digital version. Overlapping that came sending out Advance Reader Copies to book-trade publications such as Booklist and Publishers Weekly...
