Speaking for the Dead
His name was Brian Herzog. Google it and you'll see his obituary describing his "sudden death" on 11/13/2023. Just below you'll see pictures of him receiving the experimental COVID vaccine in January of 2021; he was one of the first officers on the island to get it. The Army used him as a poster child to tout the mandate and his picture was all over Facebook. I remember those days; no amount of wine could drown them out (I should know, I packed on ten pounds from trying!)
I wonder if the monitors at Google see the irony in the proximity of these postings. I also wonder if the elites have seen Brian's story posted in conspiracy theory videos from my fellow foil hatters.
Well, if they have, they don't care. Brian is one of many they are all too happy to lose, but it would have benefitted them far more to lose someone like me. I'm mean, dear reader, and Brian just wasn't.
Brian was kind. He was a good father with four little kids, a compassionate husband, and a worthy soldier. He wasn't in any way political.... he just was. I knew him and his wife. We weren't super close, but we were neighbors during the COVID mess, and the first thing I thought of when I heard what had happened was that shot.
I thought about Brian the other day as I opened my cupboards and found it: the jar his wife had made me with the unit crest. I haven't contacted the family since they moved away. Like I said, we were neighbors, we knew each other, but we weren't super close, and I didn't think she would appreciate me popping up out of nowhere in the midst of her grief.
I gave the jar away; I don't need it to remember what they did to Brian. I don't need it to remember to speak for the dead. Let Brian sing with the angels; I'll continue hissing at the hellions that took him.
