It’s a strange condition, for our people, to know that our best days are behind us. While everyone else is looking forward to our demise, like vultures circling a man dying of thirst, we have nothing left to look forward to. And this condition denies the very notion of progress we’ve been corn-fed to believe in, ever since Karl Marx.
