FOCUS ON YOUR HEAVENLY HOME... Your Real Inheritance
How many people think it would be nice to have a long-lost uncle or friend who amazingly leaves you a nice inheritance?
I would like to tell you of a greater inheritance that we all have if, we have Jesus Christ as our own personal savior. You know you can have that by accepting the finished work on Calvary and knowing the Christ of the Bible, trusting in him for your forgiveness of sins.
The Bible tells us, "We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. "Romans 3:23
But I find my hope is in Focusing on my heavenly inheritance. That is and will be my focus.
The Bible tells us in Isaiah 55:8-9 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither my ways your ways. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.".
I have learned in my recent days, that it is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I might learn your statutes. The law of your mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
They that fear you will be glad when they see me: because I have hoped in your word.
I know, O Lord, that thy judgments are right, and that you in your faithfulness have afflicted me. Psalms 119: 71-75
You may ask, How have you been afflicted? I answer you, " I have lost a dear loved one."
I feel as the apostle Paul did in the scriptures 2 Corinthians 4: 8-9 and 16-18.
I now know that no matter what can be allowed to come our way, we have an advocate with the Father and his name is Jesus.
Do I hurt,? yes. But do I know that I have an inheritance in heaven that awaits me? YES!
Many people have suffered many conflicts, but we have a high priest who feels our pain and has told us in scripture that he will not leave us comfortless. Even when Lazarus had died, Jesus WEPT! So why would I not know that he wept at my loss also?
But, he knew it was not to harm me but for my good. Remember, his ways are not our ways.
I will Focus On My Heavenly Home. We both were His Children by faith in the Son of God and I will see him again.
May you, my friends Focus on your true inheritance. Our home in heaven, and seeing our mighty Lord and our loved ones that went on before. What a glorious inheritance we have,
