Hello, August

Good evening, Write Edge readers. It’s the first full week of August, and I’m wondering where the year has gone while also wondering how days can be so long. It’s a funny phenomena of life, isn’t it? “The days are long, but the years are short,” the saying goes, and I’m finding that to be truer and truer the older I get.

Today’s been a day full of lots of bits and pieces of various parts of my life, both writing and non-writing related, so today’s haiku also reflects that. Ultimately it was a good day, especially because there were a couple of tasks that I started while holding my breath and then exhaled at how easy they eventually were. Check it out now on The Write Edge Writing Workshop.

Last week I shared what I #amreading in my #bookreviewpreview. This Wednesday you’ll get to find out what I thought of Silent Sister by debut author Megan Davidhizar. The review goes up on The Write Edge Bookshelf in the middle of the week.

On Thursday, I go back to the Bookshelf with my second installment of this quarter’s Thursday R.E.A.D.s. Last week I told you what I thought of The Dream Home by T.M. Logan as a Reviewer. This week I’ll do deeper into what I thought of it as an Editor.

Finally, it’s back to Instagram on Friday. You’ll get a few glimpses into my life as a writer and a non-writer. Missed previous posts? Check them out now on the app with my handle, @EktaRGarg.

Have a great week, readers, and don’t forget to tell a loved one you care about them. Life is too short not to.

E.R.G.
