The End of an Era

This is the end of an era.

When I released the first Sentenced to Troll, my life was in a bit of turmoil. I was suffering from the first set of mysterious injuries that would continue to plague me for the next 5 years until I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease.

At the time, I couldn’t hold a glass of water without pain because I had a tendon completely torn off the bone in my right hand. Somehow, I managed to write the book by resting my wrist on the desk and only moving my fingers. Over the following years, I had three more surgeries. At one point I was bedridden for two weeks and unable to move the left side of my neck. Throughout it all, this story was there.

I’ve put my blood, sweat, and tears into this series, and in turn, it has changed my life in so many ways. A book about a troll and a crazy (some might say stupid) premise allowed me to go full-time as an author 6 years ago. This series has pushed me as a writer. While I may not have always done right by it–taking yearlong breaks between releases to work on other projects and killing momentum (if you’re a writer, don’t do this)–it has always done right by me.

My friends and fans have left an imprint on this story. Sometimes within the characters themselves, at other times by encouragement and anticipation for the next release. I know many of you don’t want to see it end. Even so, I hope you can appreciate the ending.

Thanks for being along for the ride.

Correct. This will bring the series to a close, hopefully a satisfying one!

Sabrina Sellers I know firsthand the pain and struggle of autoimmune disease and you managed to WRITE BOOKS. My admiration runs deep. I have read some of your other books and will now pick up this series as I really liked Cursed Cocktails and Sword and Thistle. Thank you for sharing your work and your struggles.

Thanks! This one is quite a bit different with more action and adventure, but it still has the same found family as my cozy stuff.
