Chicago Alternative Comics Expo -- who knew? 🙂

So many people know of the various Comics Cons around the country, big events, with cosplay, mostly serving the Big Houses such as Marvel and DC in the comics industry, movie tie-ins and all, but in many cities there have always been little alt comix events where few rich comics artists would ever show up. Though some all time comix folks do go there, with plenty of beginners and largely unsung artists. In Chicago, alt comix fans shop at Quimby's on North avenue and go to CAKE. It is a trip, where I am usually the eldest attendee. . . August 23-24 in Chicago!
