Amy's Bookshelf Review of UNTIL OUR TIME COMES

"When her hopes are shattered by war, one woman will risk everything to save those she loves"

I was immediately hooked by the concept of this novel (not to mention the gorgeous cover) and was not disappointed. The premise promises exactly what the author delivers—an intriguing and time-worthy dive into history.

Several aspects of the subject of this book grabbed my attention. WWII history always interests me as does Polish history. Two of my husband’s grandparents survived WWII in Poland and were fortunate enough to immigrate to the U.S. shortly after the war, so for the past couple of decades studying this historical time and place as been a bit of a hobby for me. But never in that research had I come across the fascinating story of the rescue of Polish Arabian horses that inspired this novel.

An exploration of history through story should, in my opinion, include the emotional and spiritual aspects of the period that moved people—common and great—in their quest for good over evil, whether their influence reached the many or the few. Nicole M. Miller has done so in her debut novel. She successfully delivers a unique and intriguing story you won’t soon forget, along with in-depth characters who will have you emotionally fighting alongside them to the very end.

Until Our Time Comes is a five-star read.
