catbird and red currants
I love catbirds. They are so friendly! They come very near to people and just start chatting. When I hang up laundry, when I go out on my porch, when I'm looking at my plants, along comes a catbird.

Catbirds are a menace to gardeners, although I think all birds are great. Ours fought so hard through the netting for berries, various, we called them all Moriarty. Except Sherlock's nemesis doesn't get all tangled up in the nets.

Yes, it's not very nemesis-like to get yourself trapped in a net! But I guess it's nemesis like to steal all the berries ;-)
