Life gets better with age

Experience accumulates
Accomplishments compound
Perspective expansion
Knowledge matures
Wisdom germinates
Patience flourishes
If you let it
If you try
Humility propagates
Age’s endowments
I’m confident that we all know people who have not improved with age, who never seem to mature. For a variety of reasons. There is a sadness there, but not one anyone can do anything about.
“An unexamined life is not worth living,” is attributed to Socrates. The willingness to look at yourself as a flawed human being who and learn from one’s mistakes. And then correct is about humility. Not being damagingly self deprecating, but saying. “I tried, I learned, I’ll try again. Maybe I’ll fail again. And I’ll try again.” in a constructive and light hearted, but meaningful way. I think it is hard, not saying I’ve got it right. It does beat the alternative though.
I’m on Facebook, there I’ll be able to communicate with people more directly, and also have more writing updates, beyond daily musings and light bits of poetry.
