Thanks for the comment. I have the same question regarding the rationale explanation in Physics. I think this has to do with the higher dimensional Physics. If I were to give an example which I wrote on Quora years ago. Lets say, I am a 4D being. What this extra dimension could do? Well, we are in a 3D world, perceiving only 2D, for example:- our TV screens has 2 dimensions. But, if I am a 4D being, I can utilize the 3 dimensions to my use. Like a superhero, I can go across the wall. Or the characters could jump out of the TVs to meet you. Haha. Well, this extra dimension is sort of awareness we develop. That is I am more aware of my surroundings, an awakened person.
Usually, physicists don't consider the soul aspect with their theories. However, it is still an open question.
As someone who is on the pathway to spiritual enlightenment, the light is more of releasing the burdens off the shoulder. The burden can be the Karma we have associated with various people in our life, their effect on our mental, physical well being. Once we heal, we release all of this to move from dark character of the self to light.
I usually associate this with the weightlessness concept in Physics. Once we heal any broken aspect of the self, we move towards the weightlessness. Nothing is worth experiencing than the weightlessness of the soul, free from any bad karma or healed from our traumas or inner child wounds.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Yes, you are, sadly, right. Modern human society could be seen as "dumbed down", and the example you gave, of some vulgar video getting more clicks than a beautiful, spirituality related one, is a good one.
However- the very same modern humans carry a lot of unhappiness in their souls; deep inside we know what is good and eternal and wholesome, and what is simply a cheap surrogate for for comfort.
This brings me to the following question. It is customary to associated the concept of " light" with spiritual growth. I wonder if there is some tangible, physics rationale for it, Priya?
I have been lucky to meet some truly spiritual people, and they faces were so beautiful- simply lustrous, lit up from within. Its hard to describe, and I always wanted to know how this appearance comes about.
