One of the curious items preserved in the University of Michigan Museum of Anthropology is a flag collected by Owen Tomlinson, an American constabulary officer, in the early 1900’s. Tomlinson served in the Cordilleras but the flag was from lowland Christian Bulacan based on the text on the top of the triangle that reads “Kabinataang Baliwag” [Young Men of Baliwag].
