Interview on WGAU Talk Radio about Bullying, Self-Esteem, and Saving YOU Saving ME!
How many of you have heard about the study from Oklahoma where researchers are now finding that bullying is starting at an earlier age – age 5 now and one of the things these 5 year olds are targeting are overweight kids?
Barbara Dooley of top Talk Radio WGAU had me on to talk about this, and to talk about tolerance and self-esteem as it relates to teen issues, as well. One of the message I wanted to convey, and that Barbara Dooley picked up also was that we, as society, can do something about bullying and other social issues that affects children and teens, who grow up to be young adults in their late teens, twenties, and even whatever age that have lifelong issues.
Here’s the interview with Barbara Dooley in WGAU (Athens, Georgia) and syndicated nationally:

I also talk about my non-fiction book for all ages:
The Shy Girls Social Club Handbook for Dealing with Bullies
and Other Meanies
Any of you heard about this study or any bully incidences lately? If so, let us know. Knowledge is power, and awareness brings this issue to the surface so those being bullied or are bullying can find help to deal with it.
