Gone with the Groom

 

I’ve always been partial to my Annie Peterson/Wedding Caper mysteries, particularly GONE WITH THE GROOM, the second book in the series. In that story, the groom disappears two weeks before the big day. Annie (his future mother-in-law) has to figure out if someone has kidnapped him, or if he’s got cold feet. (You’ll have to read the book to find out what she discovers!)

In an interesting twist, I happened to be helping my third-oldest daughter (Megan) put together her wedding plans while writing that book. I told Kevin (my incoming son-in-law) that he’d better not go missing before the big day! Thank goodness, he showed up and the wedding went forward. Still, I couldn’t help but dedicate the book to him: “To Kevin. Thanks for staying put.” Ha!
