Signing books for the webstore. I remember setting up my first PayPal account, hand-addressing each padded mailer, walking one or two orders a week over to the New Auburn post office. Thousands of books and a couple decades later, we’re still a boutique operation but I couldn’t do it without the neighbors (yep, right down the rural route) who do our shipping and handling now. And we never forget: at the other end of that order is a reader, and without readers, I’m outta luck. Thank you.
