Let us be clear: I did not read this book cover-to-cover. I skipped swaths of it that had nothing to do with the kind of gardening I do right now. I gave up growing tomatoes when the local groundhogs got spiteful one night, climbed over and through my layers of fencing, and took one bite out of each tomato. Rude!
