USAF F-4C Phantom shot down by North Vietnamese SAM

In July 1966 a USAF F-4C Phantom  was shot down by a North Vietnamese SAM-2 45 miles (72 km) northeast of Hanoi.

This was the first loss of a U.S. aircraft to a Vietnamese surface-to-air missile in the Vietnam War.
