Jasmine Ariti I'd never heard of Hilary Hahn, but loved this face reading! And I'm always happy to have the chance to hear some new-to-me beautiful music.

Rose Rosetree Thanks, Jasmine. Among the links in this article is an astounding little YouTube video, recorded when Hilary Hahn was just 10 years old.

Even when hearing and watching her play, it smashed some illusions for me, how such a big sound -- and such sophisticated musicianship -- could be coming out of young Hilary's way of playing. Already!

Rose Rosetree I don't know if this caught your eye, in this blogpost, Jasmine... But, to me, one of the most interesting parts of the article involved answering this question:

Yes, Goodreaders, my perspective is right there, waiting for you. Very likely, this perspective may shock you. Comfort you.

Jasmine Ariti Yes, Rose, what you wrote about prodigies was very interesting and powerful. I think it’s true.

The idea that Hilary Hahn must have played violin in earnest obscurity for so many lifetimes caused me to look at her with deep honor.

Rose Rosetree Thank you, Jasmine. For those of you who aim to learn more, I invite you to read the full blogpost.

Also some pretty cool comments are coming in at that blogpost. Never fear reading the comments at my blog, btw. It is monitored, not cringey.
