Callacpuma

The Callacpuma archaeological site within the city of Cajamarca in Peru, known for its extraordinary rock cave paintings estimated at 4750 ya, indicates the site was occupied from the late pre-ceramic period onward. Recent discoveries indicate the inhabitants also produced megalithic structures among the earliest identified in South America.
