Did you know that when the bacteria Staphylococcus Aureus comes into contact with our skin it release a chemical that activates a protein in our nerves. Our skin then sends a signal to our brains, which it then perceives as an itch!
Before everyone jumps on me, bacteria are not responsible for all itches, they can be triggered by a whole host of things that come into contact with the skin. Though this particular one is quite interesting donβt you think?
