Somany dreams came tumbling down

Theday that the towers fell out of the Heavens;

Aday when innocents, unsuspecting,

Steppedaboard missiles of grave misgivings.

 

Hopesaborted,

Livescut short,

Millionsaffected in so many ways.

There’snot a soul with cognizant memory

Whocannot remember where they were that day.

 

Quicklyawakened

Theire of a nation

Setforth a path of intense retribution,

Vowingremembrance while seeking the snake,

Tocut off the head,

Tofind a solution.

 

Andall of those dreams of all of those souls

Lostin the ash and the rubble of time

Stillserve a purpose,

Avivid reminder,
