I’ll try again

I’m kept humble by my tablet. It’s like whenever I have written something I think is really good, it erases it. Smile. So, I have finished sulking and will post now the gist of what I remember writing.

Yesterday, I finished reading The Magic of Thinking Big by David J. Schwartz. The author presented many good points and principles for success in business and Sales. However, one particular story stood out, and I thought it was applicable to many of us.

There was a woman who had a young son who motivated her to live. Her doctor had given her only months to live, but she determined that she wanted to see her son graduate from college. Contrary to medical science, the human brain and the will to live sometimes defy all odds. The doctor’s prognostications were off for some twenty years as this mother hung in there until after her son’s degree was obtained.

I don’t know what gives one person the will and determination to live despite their terminal disease outlook. I just know I chose to tell my when I gave her the news of my diagnosis that I planned to stick around. I told her that I’d be here when she graduated from high school, and college, got her first job, developed her career, got married, and had her first child.

Do you think subconsciously she’s been picky choosing a mate because of this? Just live your life, Baby. Daddy’s extremely proud of you, and I will be here until I am not.

One thing for sure is our brains have a lot of power. The Ancient Book says, As a man thinks, so is he. Your own mind is a sacred enclosure into which nothing harmful can enter except by your own permission. Arnold Bennett. You already have within you everything you need to turn your dreams into reality. Wallace D Wattles.

Everyone is different, and only you know how much you want to endure. Notice that I use the word want. I don’t think we actually know how much we can bear. I’m planning on finding out. Simplysaidbysimon, we’re stronger than we ever thought possible by ALS – Assaulting Limiting Scenarios.
