This year, my dad and stepmom are going on a trip to Turkey so my family decided to celebrate Stepmother’s Day early. Yesterday I treated my stepmother Stephanie to a home cooked dinner of avocado salad, pan roasted sliced mushrooms and cauliflower rice with a delicious blend of olives, tomatoes, onions and parsley. For desert we had sundaes of vanilla ice cream with Madeleines, frozen raspberries, and orange chocolate. The table was decorated with a bouquet of tiny purple flowers.
For the final touch, I presented her with a handcrafted card with paper cut outs of blossoms and leaves. This year I pondered what special offering I could give her after I presented my first copy of Tales of Virtuous Stepmothers last year. Then I decided to give her a preview of the royal crest that will be featured on the cover of the second book of virtuous stepmother fairytales. In addition, I also read a sneak preview of one story that will be featured in the next collection about an island of centaurs and their bold chief who will undertake a heroic quest to rescue her brother with a loyal carpenter by her side.
Even if my family is going to be away, I will observe Stepmother’s Day for my followers, more surprises in store. 🪻📚💞
