How to make a Leviathan serpent ring
The new Leviathan skills in Final Fantasy 16’s Rising Tide DLC are great, and they become even more powerful with the help of some accessories. I will show you how to make Leviathan’s Serpent Ring in FF16: The Rising Tide.
How to unlock the Leviathan Serpent Ring recipeTo unlock the Leviathan Serpent Ring, which can be crafted in FF16: The Rising Tide, you must complete the side quest “What Ails You.” This quest will be available for the first time after he meets Leviathan’s Dominate and returns to Haven. If you talk to Fannet, the healer standing next to the sick man near the blacksmith’s shop, she will ask you to investigate the cause of the man’s illness.
Once you start What Ails You, follow the quest markers. Eventually, go to the Green Altar northwest of the High Gate and fight the Tonberry Gang to find the Silver Chain. Bringing the Silver Chain back to Blacksmith Fanet will give you the Adder Stone and Serpent Ring Design Draft, which will unlock the Serpent Ring Recipe.

Once you’ve unlocked the recipe, you can have your blacksmith create four separate Serpent Rings, each of which enhances Leviathan’s skills. All Serpent Rings require unique materials to craft and are composed of the following materials:
Serpent Ring Skill Effect Required Materials Serpent Wonder (Deluge) Reduces Deluge cooldown by 1.5 seconds Aquamarine x2
-Ageless TallowThe Serpent’s Worth (Tsunami) Reduces Tsunami’s cooldown by 8.0 seconds. -Aquamarine x2
・Words of the Eternal Millet Serpent (Cross Swell) Reduce the cool time of Cross Swell by 2.0 seconds ・Aquamarine x 2
・Ageless Odrament Serpents Watch (Abyssal Tier) Abyssal Tier cooldown reduced by 2.0 seconds ・Aquamarine x2
-Ageless Oil Stone
Aquamarine is a rare resource found around Mysidia, and the Adderstone you receive as a reward for completing the side quest “What Ails You” will help you find it. When you get close to the aquamarine, the adder stone makes a dripping sound and the aquamarine source pulsates and radiates a watery blue-green halo.
Aquamarine’s location varies between players depending on the difficulty of the game, but it’s not too difficult to find as the Adder Stone telegraphs its location. Personally, I played on Action Mode difficulty and found Aquamarine in the following locations:
All Aquamarine locations are marked with a star. Screenshot by The Escapist. On a rock in the area just north of The High Gate and across from The Green Altar. On the ground along the path of the Maiden’s Procession after passing through the Dark Gate. Inside the Quindim Monster to the west of the Maiden Procession Gallery. On the underwater ground next to the crumbling stone wall at the western end of The Sunken Ruins. Tailwind Bay Inside the Lesser Archelon monster along the eastern cliff, just south of the obelisk. On the ground next to a tree on the southeast path to Tailwind Bay in Father’s Fell. It is located at the foot of a large rocky hill on the path to River’s Edge, just south of Heaven’s Law Gate. At the base of the rocky wall just south of Conviction in Lost Cloak Pass.
To craft the Leviathan Serpent Ring in FF16: The Rising Tide, you will need four special Ageless items in addition to Aquamarine. Each item in Ageless is either received as a reward for completing a specific side quest or can be found in a chest somewhere in Mysidia. Below is a list of all four Ageless items and how to obtain them.
Complete the Ageless Tallow: The Pursuit of Knowledge side quest. Ageless Millet: Complete the side quest “The Uninvited Guest.” Ageless Odorament: Found in a chest on the southwest side of Haven, next to a wooden warehouse under a wheat field. Ageless Oilstone: Found in a chest along the eastern cliff just south of the Tailwind Bay Obelisk.
Once you have all the Aquamarine and Ageless materials, you can take them back to the blacksmith to craft the Leviathan Serpent Ring accessory in FF16. Now you can move forward and scatter around your enemies faster than before.
