I'll be writing about my entire publishing journey and here is how to tell if it is a fake job scam!

So I’ve had this idea for a while. I’ve been wanting to put all my writings from my website to my Ko-fi and Patreon and give people content not found anywhere else. I’m currently still unemployed but in the mean time I want to get my books, Youtube and Twitch streams going. The job search is easily frustrating for me. I’ve run into countless scammers. It is tiresome like I put open to work on Linkedin and all these people contacted me I was excited at first but then it got to where I sent in my resume and they would just pick it apart and then say they have servies to help me. Like I got laid off no income so it is dumb of people to assume I could pay for it when I can do it for free online. That is why I hate scammers. Heck even had someone contact me asking to give him money to help promote my books:

I don’t have plans yet on them since I got laid off so my mind is finding another job. I’ll be doing a plan when the next book is done since it is being edited

Which is true you could tell he was a scammer by the way he wrote. Saying I needed to purchase somethings to promote my book. Like no. Even the Linkedin resume writers were fucking pushy too. No one understands that I don’t have a steady source of income yet. All this stuff you can do for free. It is currently being re-written to market right now. Hot alpha vampires, cute cat shifter, why choose, some spicy scenes and a few trigger warnings. I could always write about marketing when the time comes and I got scribe. I could do a step by step about formatting with Atticus and Vellum and a step by step publishing guide as well. Heck I want to do a book with comments on my past work like a behind the scenes thing! I’ve got a ton of plans in the works. I’ll be focusing less on the job bs and more on writing and content creation. I have lore I need to write, Fur and Fang of Love which is a supernatural reality tv show where girls compete to win the hearts of Zephyr and Hyperion a werewolf and vampire best friends. I’ve got like 30 pages of that. Then there is the second Ghost Reapers which deals with the scammers getting what they deserve.

This is how to tell if a job is a scam or not:

Gmail is one.

Pay is 27 one time then 81 the next.

Signal, Whatsapp, Skype, Teams and zoom might be ligitimate but I thought I had one yet he said he would need my address to send me a check. Red flag since if you deposit it then it will bounce and they will make excuses about needing it back.

Also one said proofreader/online chat like make it make sense. They are 2 different jobs.

Always do your research also the company hires you pretty fast.

Sometimes it looks like a legit company and always look it up on Reddit to see if it is or not. It is a pain in the ass so I’ll apply to jobs and just work on my books and content in the meantime.
