So, believe it or not, it took me nearly 5 years to pluck up the courage to write the first book, and take the publishing plunge! This meant that I probably over did the research phase, always finding an excuse to read more rather than write those thoughts down (Iโm sure many authors can understand this ๐)
The reward of this extended research phase was that I got to explore the concept of compassion quite deeply, and it then heavily influenced where I ended up taking the storyline. I was particularly interested in refugees, and the importance of compassion in and around supporting these large, dislocated groups; often fleeing from war.
So, compassion was my concept for book 1. What concepts do you feel as readers really worked well in books youโve read? Scribes/Writers, what concepts do you feel heavily influenced your books?
