Vic Renée and Harry, his pupil and her teacher (and vice versa), have come a long these last few years but Renée has not yet let go of ambition to vindicate herself of her years as a Night Work detective which dulls her ears to the only motivation of Harry, the endless call of the murdered for resolution.
But she's still young and he ain't dead yet, so I guess we get another leg of their trip on video for the non-readers.
Yippee! Connelly gets pretty good directors, typically true to his books.
